Join us for an evening of fun at our 5th Annual Fall Fundraiser, Party in the Park 2019!

We’ll gather in the stone pavilion in Washington Park on Saturday, October 12 from 6-9pm in the name of supporting access to environmental justice in Greene and Washington Counties. This year the Center for Coalfield Justice is marking 25 years of service to our communities, and we would love to celebrate with you!

This year’s entertainment will be an area favorite, LocaL! An acoustic duo, LocaL plays a mix of unique covers and original music: check out their Facebook page

As always, we’ll have a silent auction running throughout the event. Bidding begins at 6:00 pm and continues until 8:45 pm. In past years, attendees have won homemade pies, private Fracking in the Coalfields tours with CCJ staff, Patagonia puffer jackets, and even dinner with Eliza Griswold, Pulitzer Prize winning author of Amity and Prosperity: One Family and the Fracturing of America. We’ll update our event page with this year’s prize options, so keep watch!

Tickets for Party in the Park 2019 are $20 for adults, $15 for students. Admission includes a full meal, a cookie table, non-alcoholic beverages, and one drink ticket for attendees over 21 years old. An all-you-can-drink option is available for an additional $20: it comes with a CCJ Klean Kanteen cup to use for the evening and bottomless beer and wine (again, for those attendees 21 years old or older). All guests will be given admission wristbands that indicate whether you are legally old enough to purchase alcohol, and we’ll enforce this policy strictly.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the event - perhaps crafting/decorating with our Campaign Coordinator, selling 50/50 tickets with our Community Organizers, or stoking fires and tending bar with the Significant Others of CCJ - should email Sarah Martik at smartik@coalfieldjusice.org, or call her at 724-229-3550 x102.
